EVE Orders - User Guide

Getting Started

Click Sign In with EVE Online to authenticate using your EVE SSO account. Your tokens are stored locally in your browser and are never sent anywhere except the official EVE SSO and ESI servers. To add more characters, open the account switcher in the top-right and choose Add Account. Each character keeps its own cached dashboard snapshot in your browser.

Dashboard Overview

Once logged in you will see three sections:

  • Wallet Bar - Your personal and corp ISK balances. Use the division selector on the corp wallet to pick which wallet to display.
  • Stats Bar - At-a-glance numbers: free order slots, undercut status, corp order counts (if you have role access), sell/buy values, top items, and Oldest Active.
  • Station Breakdown - Your orders grouped by station with sell/buy counts and undercut flags. Click the header to collapse.
  • Market Orders Table - Every active order with full detail, including owner, Order Age, and expiry. Click any station row above to filter the table to that station.

Filters

  • All Types / Sell / Buy - Show only sell orders, only buy orders, or both.
  • All Sources / Personal / Corp - Switch between your personal orders and corp orders. Corp requires the Accountant or Market Manager role in your corporation.
  • All Status / Best Price / Undercut / Dupes - Filter by undercut status. Dupes shows items where you have more than one order at the same station.
  • Owner filter - Includes All Owners, Active Character, and specific owner names.
  • Location chip - Appears when you click a station in the Station Breakdown. Shows orders only at that station. Click the x on the chip to clear.
  • Search - The search field filters item names using case-insensitive contains matching.
  • Reset - Clears type/source/status/owner/search filters and active location chip.
  • Missing Sell Pace - Open Settings and check the Sell Pace box under Columns.

Refresh and Caching

The Orders page uses manual refresh to avoid pounding ESI. The last successful refresh is cached locally per character, so reopening the page restores the last known data instead of starting from a blank dashboard.

  • Refresh Orders - Manually reloads orders, wallets, and market comparisons.
  • 6 minute cooldown - Prevents accidental double clicks and reduces unnecessary ESI traffic.
  • Last Refresh - Shown in local time in the toolbar.
  • Local and EVE clocks - Available at the bottom of the page menu.

Undercut Detection

After a manual refresh, the app fetches live market data in the background and flags any order where a competitor has a better price.

  • Station scope - Compares only against orders at the exact same station. Best for station traders.
  • Region scope - Compares against the best price anywhere in the region. Best for regional traders.
  • Ticks - EVE prices move in 0.01 ISK increments called ticks. Set how many ticks below the current best price the copy button will suggest. Default is 2 ticks.
  • Pace Days - Controls the lookback window for Sell Pace calculations.

Copy Button (content_copy)

Clicking the copy icon copies the suggested undercut price and attempts to open the item market window in the EVE client. Success/warn states are shown with button color feedback.

Order Age Tracking

Order age is tracked per order_id in local storage. Missing/closed orders are pruned after a 48-hour grace period to avoid stale buildup during temporary ESI issues.

Order Slots

The Personal Slots Free card shows how many more orders you can place, based on your Trade-related skills (Trade, Retail, Wholesale, Tycoon). The bar turns orange above 70% and red above 90% usage. Corp orders you placed yourself also consume your personal slots.

Corp Orders

Corp orders are visible if your character holds the Accountant or Market Manager role within the corporation. Without this role the corp section is hidden and a notice is shown. Orders placed by other corp members are included but they do not count against your personal slot limit.

Wallet

Personal and corp wallets are shown in the wallet bar below the stats. The corp wallet shows up to 7 divisions - use the division selector to switch between them. Division names are fetched from ESI when available.

Multi-Account

You can sign in with multiple EVE characters. Use the account switcher in the header to switch the active character or remove an account. Each character's tokens and cached order snapshot are stored independently.

Page Menu

The hamburger menu opens page settings with:

  • Presets - Save named presets, apply them later, and mark favorites.
  • Scope - Station or Region undercut comparison.
  • Ticks - Price undercut increment.
  • Pace Days - Controls the lookback window for Sell Pace calculations.
  • Compact - Hides item icons and reduces row height for a denser view.
  • Clocks - Shows your local time and current EVE time.
  • Favorite presets bar - Favorited presets appear as quick chips beside filters in the toolbar.
